Keeping your water cooler clean

• We advise that you sanitise your water cooler every 3 months according to the procedures set out by the WHA (The British Water Dispenser & Hydration Association).
• Sanitisation is the cleaning, disinfecting and sterilising of your water cooler to ensure for optimal hygiene. It prevents bacterial and microbial growth and keeps the machine clean, both inside and out.
• Regular sanitisation is crucial so that your drinking water remains safe, pure and great-tasting. Our Sanitisation kits are WHA certified, providing you with the highest possible standard of hygiene and cleanliness for your water cooler. You can purchase a Sanitisation Kit from us.

Check these simple troubleshooting steps:

• Check the machine is plugged in and the power socket is connected securely
• Remove the blue ring pull from your Hydrate Direct water bottle before adding bottle on your cooler
• Remove air lock by depressing taps if cooler isn't dispensing
• Check water bottle for cracks/damage if any leakage. 99% of the time this is the cause of any leaks

Water cooler leaks?

99% of the time, water cooler leaks are the result of a leaking water bottle and not from the cooler itself. This may be the result of a hairline crack in the bottle which alters the pressure within the cooler from the normal “vacuum”. The pressure change draws water into the tank and causes it to overflow. We encourage our customers to remove the bottle from the cooler and test it with a different bottle. If the issue does lie with the water bottle, the changing of bottles will put a stop to the leak.

Water cooler not dispensing water?

Usually, the reason behind a water cooler not dispensing water is an airlock that is a result of the air pressure that is forced into the water cooler as the bottle is placed on it. We recommend that you remove the water bottle from the water cooler, and then place it back on the water cooler. While you do this, ask someone to hold both taps open until water comes through them.

Water is not getting cold?

A surprisingly common cause for water cooler water not getting cold is that it’s not plugged into the wall socket or that the mains power switch isn’t turned on. Check that the water cooler is plugged in and turned on and to also check that the power cable at the back of the cooler is firmly pushed into its socket.
